Lisa T Bergen is my favourite author, she is a christian author who writes for adults, young adults, and children. She has two series and a duology for young adults, one series is historical fiction and the other is dystopian fiction. I love her writing so much and love that It is clean fiction.
anyway to the book review. I have just started reading Lisa’s dystopian series, I finished the first book last night Season of Wonder and it was AMAZING! I have no idea how to give a summary of the book because it was completely filled with goodness so I’m going to type the blurb out.
“Andrianna is a Remnant, one of the gifted born on the seventh day during the seventy-seventh Harvest after the Great War, and destines to act as humanity’s last shield against the horrors that now plague those who remain.
After years of training in stealth and warfare, Andrianna and her Knight protector, Ronan, are finally ready to answer the Call and begin the life they were designed for. But as they embark with the other Remnants on their first assignments, they quickly discover that the world beyond the protected Valley is more dangerous than they imagined.”
It sounds awesome I know.
I really like how this book ended it wasn’t a heart-wrenching cliffhanger and I really appreciated that. Andrianna was a really great female protagonist, she was really honest and didn’t have an ‘I’m invincible’ attitude. she was true to herself and it was very encouraging.
How the Remnants and Knights relied on the Maker was a really good comparison to how christians rely on God and trust in him.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
