Yep, that is an obvious one for me to suggest, But there is nothing better to do when it’s cold. Snuggle up under a heap of blankets and read your favourite novel or one you have never read.
Memorise a passage
It is important for us to memorise passages from the bible so that is written in our hearts. Colossians 2:6-7 says “ So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” So if the Lord’s word is written on our hearts, we are being built up in him, with reminders of what he has done for us and what he wants us to do, so that we may one day become fully mature in Christ. And if it’s raining (or snowing if you live somewhere cool), if you are stuck inside, think about and remember what the Lord has done for you and overflow with thankfulness.
Do some yoga
Not an extremely intense exercise, but calm and somewhat relaxing. Very easy to do inside and is gentle enough to warm you up but not make you sweat too much. I enjoy the child’s pose, seated mountain pose, Cobra, and standing forward fold.
Draw or paint
Get creative whether, watercolour painting, scrapbooking or typography, it is always fun to create something that will always be counted as art no matter how horrible you think it looks.
Learn a song or an instrument
Spend that time you can’t spend outside learning something that maybe you’ll be able to play outside in Summer. extend your musical knowledge and skill on an instrument you know/or don’t know how to play.
I hope this was helpful for everyone who is living in Winter and if you’re living in Summer right now I hope I’ve prepared you with some things to do once the Summer is over.
